Ingredients:
- 4 beef tenderloin steaks (6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the filet mignons with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the steaks for about 2 minutes per side.
- Transfer steaks to a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 10-15 minutes for medium-rare.
